About the Growth Team

MetaMask’s Growth team focuses on helping more people discover, try, and stick with MetaMask. We design user experiences that make our wallet easier to access, understand, and return to—whether it’s through better onboarding, activation journeys, or personalized in-app nudges. Our goal is to reduce friction while preserving user trust, so more people can safely explore the world of Web3.

We work across surfaces (Extension, Mobile, Portfolio) and partner closely with product, data, engineering, marketing, and research. We’re energized by experimentation, but grounded in craft—always learning from real users, validating what works, and adjusting quickly.

What you’ll do

You’ll lead the design of user experiences that drive adoption and retention across MetaMask products. You’ll explore problems from multiple angles, bring clarity to ambiguous challenges, and deliver designs that balance growth goals with usability and trust. Whether it’s optimizing the onboarding experience, crafting new activation surfaces, or identifying patterns across journeys, your work will directly impact how millions of people experience MetaMask for the first time—and keep coming back.

You’ll also help elevate design quality across the team by giving thoughtful feedback, partnering closely with engineers, and mentoring other designers. You’ll be a key voice in shaping the design culture and process on a high-impact, fast-moving team.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio of shipped work
  • Experience designing for user growth, including onboarding, activation, retention, or lifecycle
  • A thoughtful approach to experimentation—you know when to test, when to ship, and how to learn
  • Comfort working with product analytics and partnering with data teams to inform design decisions
  • Ability to lead projects from zero to one as well as iterate on mature surfaces
  • Strength in systems thinking, interaction design, and content-aware UX
  • A collaborative spirit and experience partnering across engineering, product, marketing, research, and content
  • Experience mentoring or leveling up other designers on your team
  • Familiarity with Figma, design systems, and remote design workflows

The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.
