Calyptus, a leading platform for web3 job seekers, has released its inaugural Talent Titans Top 100 Web3 Employers list to recognize these employers in our ecosystem.

Championing  the Principles of Decentralization in the Workplace

At Consensys, redesigning the traditional workplace and mirroring the principles of decentralization is a priority, breaking down barriers to entry to engage with web3 builders worldwide. As a fully remote company, we leverage the expertise of over 800 employees from diverse backgrounds, working on projects across 40 locations globally. This diverse talent pool not only brings fresh perspectives but also helps identify new use cases to onboard the next billion users.

Methodology for the Talent Titans Top 100 Web3 Employers

Calyptus deployed a multi-phase process to assess and rank web3 companies based on their company culture and values, employee development, approach to innovation as well as compensation and benefits. The process included an open nomination period, an internal review conducted by the Calyptus leadership team, interviews with the nominated companies, a community review from over 30,000 individuals in the ecosystem, and an expert judge review. Lastly, Calyptus used a custom-built algorithm combining three inputs: the initial ranking, the community ranking, and the judges’ ranking.

The process emphasized the following criteria: 

● The diversity and inclusiveness of their workforce.

● Employee satisfaction and benefits.

● Career development opportunities within the organization.

● The company's approach to attracting and retaining talent.

● The company's contribution to and standing within the Web3 community.

Actively Shaping the Future of Work in Web3 

The People & Talent team at Consensys recognizes that properly providing a nurturing work environment and holding our spot as a top web3 employer involves constant learning.  Web3 has proven to be a catalyst for evolving the nature of how we work. It asks us to critically evaluate our current methods and chart new paths that will move us to more decentralized, community-driven, and inclusive work environments. 

Recognizing this, together with global data research firm YouGov, Consensys conducted a first-of-its-kind workforce survey about the web3 industry that captures the skills, motivations, and concerns of web3 professionals in different regions of the world.
