Consensys Announces Dan Odell as Chief Financial Officer

Fort Worth, Texas, August 13, 2024 — Consensys, the leading blockchain and web3 software technology company, today announced the appointment of Dan Odell as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Odell brings an extensive track record serving in finance and strategy roles across web3 technology, consumer applications, games, and media industries, making him an exceptional fit to support the growth of Consensys. In his new role, Odell will oversee all financial operations, including Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Strategic Finance and Investor Relations.

Odell joins Consensys after successfully guiding Improbable, a metaverse technology company, through a strategic business model shift, significantly growing the firm’s revenue and improving its capital position. Prior to Improbable, Odell spent over 15 years at The Walt Disney Company, serving various roles including VP of Global Product Management for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, CFO of Maker Studios, CFO of Mobile Games and Director of Global Financial Planning for Disney Consumer Products. Throughout his tenured career, Odell has managed P&Ls ranging from $10M to $3B in revenue, making him a versatile addition to the Consensys Executive team.
